Infertility Insurance in Denver, CO

The cost of building your family through fertility treatment can be steep, especially since more than one course of treatment or cycle of in vitro fertilization (IVF) is necessary. Many couples find themselves struggling financially, especially if their insurance company does not cover infertility treatments.
Currently, there are 15 states that require insurance companies to offer infertility insurance or to cover infertility treatments. However, Colorado is one of the states that does not have a mandate in place.
Before you begin treatment, talk with a representative from your insurance plan, so you can find out what exactly will be covered. Some private insurance plans do offer some amount of coverage. In addition, talk to your fertility clinic about any financing plans they may have.
If you are interested in working towards braining an infertility insurance mandate to Colorado, you can sign the online petition here.
