Lessons Learned through Infertility

It’s OK to ...

1. Laugh.
2. Cry.
3. Be scared.
4. Give into a guilty pleasure when you’re having a bad day.
5. Reevaluate your fertility treatment options and be OK with something you were previously not OK with.
6. Take a break from fertility treatment or decide you’ve gone as far as you can go.
7. Vent or scream your frustrations when you need to get them out.
8. Disagree with your fertility doctor (reproductive endocrinologist), ask questions or choose to change fertility doctors.
9. Say no to fertility treatments or just the ones you’re not comfortable with.
10. Be honest with God about your fears, frustrations, anger and confusion.

Don’t forget to ...

1. Take time for yourself and do something you enjoy.
2. Choose the fertility treatment options that are best for you as a couple.
3. Let your husband know how each appointment went and what the fertility doctor said, and get your husband's opinion.
4. Find something fun you and your husband can do together that gives you both a break from all things fertility.
5. Be honest with yourself.

Always remember ...

1. You are not alone.
2. Life is good.
3. You are blessed.
4. You are loved.
5. No matter how your journey ends ... you will be OK.
