Giuliana and Bill Have Reason to Celebrate

a blog by Infertile Naomi, April 24, 2012
Giuliana and Bill Rancic finally have some greats reasons to celebrate. After a long and public struggle with infertility and breast cancer, the television couple has announced that they are expecting their first child this summer. The couple is expecting a child through a gestational surrogate, which means that the baby will be the Rancic’s genetic child.
On their reality show, the couple went through in vitro fertilization (IVF), followed by miscarriage, and later received more bad news when Giuliana found a cancerous lump in her breast. Her dreams of motherhood was temporarily put on hold as she underwent a successful double mastectomy. But like anyone going through life challenges, she refused to give up, maintaining a positive attitude throughout her ordeal. The couple has always said that they chose to go public with their story to help others who are dealing with the same challenges.
Husband Bill tells Entertainment Tonight that he “hopes their story shines a ray of hope on those struggling with the same challenges … Whether it's with the infertility issues, whether it's with the breast cancer, we said we're gonna turn these negatives into positives. And if we can help others by sharing our story, then it's worth it."
Like Giuliana and Bill, you can either choose to give up on life or find strength from what challenges you. It’s your life. The choice is yours.
