Miscarriage, Birth Defects Linked with Cell Division Problem
Fox News, April 15, 2011

Researchers have pinpointed a feature in the egg cell division process that plays a part in the chromosomal defects that cause miscarriage and birth defects, a new study suggests.
The finding applies especially to women over the age of 40, who have a higher risk of miscarriage than younger women, according to researchers at Washington State University. The study is published in the current issue of the journal Current Biology.
