Since graduating from fellowship, Atlanta fertility doctor Daniel B. Shapiro has authored and/or co-authored over 50 scientific papers. He is an invited speaker on a number of topics in reproductive medicine and was recently faculty for a post-graduate course at ASRM. He is nationally and internationally known for his work with GnRH antagonists in IVF treatment and has consulted with other practices regarding the efficient use of these drugs.

He attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Shapiro completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine in 1995.

Shapiro led the effort to establish a working clinical model for Reproductive Biology Associates' egg bank, under Dr. Peter Nagy, based on advances made in egg freezing in RBA's lab. He has since acted as clinical manager of the frozen egg bank. Previously, he had served as the medical director of the clinic for three years. Dr. Shapiro's research interests also include ovulation induction for IVF, PCOS management, endometriosis, and reproductive surgery.
