Eduard J Servy M.D.
Summary
For nearly 30 years, Edouard J. Servy, M.D., and Joe B. Massey, M.D., have helped thousands of couples build families. As well-known pioneers in IVF, Dr. Massey and Dr. Servy are now bringing yet another solution for hopeful parents-to-be in the southeast. After years of struggling with the barrier that the cost of fertility treatment created for many of their patients, they founded Servy Massey Fertility Institute on the idea that fertility treatment should be more accessible. Their unique low-cost IVF program will do just that, bringing the joy of parenthood to more couples than ever before.
A native of France, Dr. Servy attended medical school in Bordeaux, specializing in Internal Medicine with a focus on Endocrinology and metabolic disease. As a recipient of the highly prized Irene Bernard grant, Dr. Servy came to Augusta, GA, in 1969 for a research fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Medical College of Georgia, under endocrinology pioneers Dr. Robert B. Greenblatt and Dr. Virendra Mahesh. After completing a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia, he established his private practice in Augusta.
Dr. Servy’s lab is responsible for the first intrauterine insemination and the first IVF embryo transfer at blastocyst stage in the United States, as well as the first live birth after cryopreservation at the blastocyst stage following intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in the world. Dr. Servy is also a well-respected expert in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.

Cost
The team at Servy Massey Fertility Institute believes that everyone should have the opportunity to build a family. We are committed to eliminating hidden costs and unnecessary testing and only recommend assisted reproduction when conventional treatment fails or is not an option. In an effort to make advanced fertility treatment more accessible for patients, SMFI has developed a program that provides IVF treatment at a reduced price. Patients who pursue treatment at our practice will receive exceptional fertility care for almost half the cost offered at most other clinics nationwide. Since some patients require more than one treatment cycle to achieve a successful pregnancy with IVF, we offer a discount on additional cycles.
