George D. Kofinas, M.D., FACOG, is a Brooklyn fertility doctor (reproductive endocrinologist), founder and Medical Director of the Kofinas Fertility Institute, and chief of the section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the New York Methodist Hospital. He has offices in both Staten Island and Brooklyn.

After the completion of his fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Dr. Kofinas served for one year as assistant professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, prior to becoming chief of the section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. In 1996 he was appointed Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Residency program director at The Brooklyn Hospital Center where he served in this position until February of the year 2000, when he resigned to dedicate all his time to the needs of his patients and the Fertility Institute.

A diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Kofinas is board certified in both, Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
