He also serves as the Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) services in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences of Danbury Hospital. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing the division’s academic program, teaching residents, and giving lectures, in addition to treating infertility patients.

Fertility doctor Joshua Hurwitz received his undergraduate degree in biology and society at Cornell University and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He also completed his OB/GYN residency in Philadelphia, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Here, he was named Best Laparoscopic Surgeon and received a number of teaching awards. After completing his residency, Dr. Hurwitz went on to more specialized training in the field of infertility with a three year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
