Lisa A Hasty M.D.
Lisa A. Hasty, M.D., is an Atlanta fertility doctor and founding partner of Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM), a fertility clinic in Georgia that offers first-line fertility treatment like ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination (IUI) and more advanced fertility treatment options, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg donor IVF, egg freezing, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Dr. Hasty has honed special interests in the field of infertility, including IVF, treating uterine myomas, and third-party reproduction.
Dr. Hasty’s vision when she founded the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine in 1998 was to care for patients struggling with infertility through cost-effective, honest treatment with an individualized approach. As a leader in the field of infertility, Dr. Hasty has lectured across the country on topics like fertility diagnoses and fertility treatments.
After completing her residency and infertility fellowship, Dr. Hasty received a faculty appointment as well as a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine through 1992. She returned to Atlanta, where she was awarded a Principal Investigator role at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center at Emory University to study and research the possibility of the goretex pouch as an adjunct therapy for adhesion prevention. Following her completion of this study, Dr. Hasty remained at her alma mater to serve as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, a position she maintains today.
A researcher in the field of infertility, Dr. Hasty has received considerable funding to back her research. For example, she has served as the Principal Investigator for an oocyte cryopreservation (egg freezing) study at ACRM that received a $1 million grant by the Friedman Foundation.
Dr. Hasty also serves as the Program Chairperson for ACRM’s annual clinical Symposium, which presents the most current advancements in the field of infertility to fertility doctors throughout the Southeast each year.

Dr. Lisa A. Hasty has received a Clinical Investigator Award through the National Institutes of Health to study the role of endometrial complement in human reproduction. This significant work focused on the role of C3 in patients with endometriosis and patients experiencing pregnancy loss. Dr. Hasty's scholarly excellence led her to receive a faculty appointment as well as a postdoctoral research fellowship at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine through 1992. Prior to the initial visit, ACRM completes a comprehensive verification of each patient's infertility benefits for the range of services most commonly provided by the Atlanta fertility clinic. The results of this verification are then presented to the patient in a financial consult conducted after the initial visit with the physician. This free financial consultation addresses insurance benefits as they relate to the care plan mapped out by the patient's physician, outlines ACRM's financial policies, and answers questions most frequently asked by our patients. ACRM's patient account representatives are available in each office, by phone and through email at patientaccounts@acrm.com to answer patients' questions regarding their insurance coverage and their accounts.
Dr. Lisa Hasty received her undergraduate degree in Pre-Med from Davidson College and her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, where she earned the Thomas R. Boggs, Jr. Clinical award, an award given for excellence in the Intensive Care Nursery. There, she also earned the S. Leon Israel Award for her resident research work on simultaneous vaginal/abdominal sonographic evaluation of early pregnancy. During her last year of residency, she served as Chief Resident of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and was awarded Thomas Zachary Award for excellence in residency training. After her residency in 1989, Dr. Hasty began her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania . Throughout the course of her fellowship, she was acknowledged for her role in a number of infertility research projects, and received a Clinical Investigator Award through the National Institutes of Health to study the role of endometrial complement in human reproduction.
