Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Westphal has served on the faculty at Stanford University since 1991.

In 1999, she set up one of the first egg freezing programs in the United States, and she also received a grant from the Breast Cancer Research Program to study “Chemotherapy induced ovarian damage: prevention and impact.”
