Robert A Skaf M.D.
Dr. Robert Skaf founded South Jersey Fertility Center in 1989. After completing his Reproductive Endocrine training in 1981, he was appointed Division Head at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, NJ. During those 8 years he was in charge of the medical students’ curriculum and was instrumental in training many of the OB/GYN physicians in the area. Currently he is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Robert Wood Johnson and Jefferson Medical Schools. In 1989, Dr. Skaf established the first outpatient In-Vitro Fertilization Program in the area. He is currently the Chief of the Reproductive Endocrinology section at Virtua West Jersey Hospital. He was the recipient of the Philip J. Williams Junior Fellow Prize Paper on his work in Androgenic Response to Menotropin Therapy and FSH Bioassay. He has given many presentations in the field of Laser and Operative Laparoscopy in addition to Assisted Reproductive Technologies both nationally and internationally. Dr. Skaf's work overseas resulted in the birth of the first GIFT baby in Syria. In addition to being at the Egg Harbor Township office, Dr. Skaf also sees patients at the other South Jersey Fertility locations.

Dr. Skaf attended Damascus University Medical School from 1968-1973. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lutheran Medical Center/Downstate University from 1976-1979. His fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility was at UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School from 1979 to 1981.
