Sunita Kulshrestha, M.D., FACOG, is a fertilitiy doctor with the Genetics & IVF Institute in Fairfax, VA.
Dr. Kulshrestha is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and she subspecialty board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Kulshrestha has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including in-vitro fertilization (IVF), donor egg recipiency, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
Dr. Kulshrestha utilizes both her clinical experience and unique basic science background in approaches to optimize IVF success rates. She also specializes in reproductive surgery and the endocrine causes of infertility, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Dr. Kulshrestha is currently an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Fairfax campus. She plays an active role in teaching reproductive endocrinology and infertility and gynecology to residents and medical students from George Washington University and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Sunita Kulshrestha, MD, FACOG, graduated with honors and a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1990. She pursued her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where in 1994 she graduated in the top of her class as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.After finishing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia, she completed a three year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
