Clinical Trials in South Carolina
Clinical trials are carefully regulated and controlled studies which seek to determine answers about a particular variable. Clinical studies could look into fertility medications, fertility treatments, procedures, or diagnostics.
Clinical trials can operate in multiple locations throughout the country, or even across the world. They must take place under the same conditions and run for the same amount of time.
These studies are important to the field of medicine because they provide scientists and doctors with a greater understanding of certain diseases and conditions. They have been extremely beneficial to the field of infertility, by leading to new medications, treatments, and procedures to help those who have struggled to conceive.
There are seven infertility clinical trials in the state of South Carolina. There are currently no clinical trials in the Columbia area that are in the recruitment or ongoing phase.
