Infertility Insurance Coverage in St. Louis, MO
Infertility treatments can become very costly, especially when multiples cycles of expensive IVF treatments are required. While insurance may be able to cover other medical treatments, its coverage usually does not extend to infertility treatments.
Currently, only 15 states have laws that require insurance companies to provide coverage or to offer coverage. Missouri does not currently have such a mandate.
However, some private plans may cover some of the cost. Before you begin your fertility treatments, talk with your insurance plan provider or administrator to find out what exactly will be covered.
