It's National Infertility Awareness Week 2011
This week is National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW) — April 24-30. NIAW is a movement to raise awareness about infertility — a disease that affects 1 in 8 couples of childbearing age and affects men and women equally.
NIAW is a project of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, a non-profit organization with the only established, nationwide network mandated to promote reproductive health and to ensure equal access to all family building options for men and women experiencing infertility or other reproductive disorders. The goal of NIAW is to raise infertility awareness, encourage advocacy and help people cope with infertility.
NIAW’s theme this year is “Bust a Myth,” with the goal of making conversation between the fertility community and their friends and family much easier.
In honor of National Infertility Awareness Week, FertilityAuthority will be dispelling Fertility Myths and promoting Fertility Facts. Visit us each day to find our what Fertility Myth we'll be busting! Our first myth is about Age and Fertility.
And please, don't forget to share your thoughts and let us know how you personally have "Busted a Myth" about infertility!
