Paying for Fertility Treatment in New Hampshire

Fertility treatments can be expensive—for instance, the ASRM estimates that the average cost of one cycle of IVF is about $12,000. Plus, when you consider that more than one cycle is necessary, the cost can rise higher.

So, what do you need to learn about fertility treatment costs before you begin?

Infertility Insurance in New Hampshire

There are only 15 states that have an infertility insurance mandate in place that requires insurance companies to offer coverage or provide coverage for infertility treatments. Unfortunately, New Hampshire is not one of these states.

While there is no official infertility insurance mandate in place, it is always a good idea to check with a rep from your insurance plan. Some plans may cover the cost of some fertility services like diagnostics.

Paying for Fertility Treatment in New Hampshire

There are several ways, besides insurance coverage, that people may use to pay for infertility treatment. These include personal loans, borrowing money from family or friends, or applying for a credit card used for medical procedures.

You can save on IVF costs through the IVFAdvantage program. This discount program helps you save on IVF costs by paying upfront for multiple cycles—including up to two fresh and two frozen embryo cycles. This can save up to 40 percent off the cost of purchasing them individually. As long as a fertility doctor has recommended IVF to you, and you are a cash-paying patient, you are eligible for IVFAdvantage.

There is also a discount program that can help you save on egg freezing costs, called EggBanxx. With this discount program, you purchase an egg freezing package that includes one, two, or three egg freezing cycles (more than one cycle is often necessary to reach the recommended number of eggs.) This can save you up to 20 percent off the cost of the regular walk-in prices charged by fertility clinics. It also includes up to two years of storage. You may also be eligible to pay in monthly installments by applying for financing through one of our loan partners.
