Dancing With The Stars Judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, Talks IVF
a blog by Claire, November 5, 2012
Carrie Ann Inaba, judge of the hit show Dancing with the Stars, is ready for parenthood!
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Inaba says “I really do want to have a child, so I’m putting my energies toward that”. The recently single celeb has been seeing a fertility doctor over the last few months and is considering in vitro fertilization (IVF) for conceiving her first bundle of joy.
"I'm hoping that it happens the old-fashioned way, but I'm not opposed to trying new things”, she says. Inaba, 44, doesn’t exactly have time on her side. Women over the age of 35 should seek the assistance of a fertility doctor after trying to conceive unsuccessfully for six months. Female fertility declines as we approach our late 30s, so it is important to ask fast if you are thinking of using your own eggs. Donor egg IVF is an option for those with poor egg quality due to aging or low egg reserve.
Inaba acknowledges the race against her biological clock, but like most women yearning for a child, she is optimistic. “A lot of miracles have happened in my life so I continue to believe in them. It only takes one egg!" True, Carrie Ann, but the quality of that one egg matters too!
Fertility Authority wishes you the best of luck! Keep sharing your fertility journey and spreading hope to your fans!
