In an interview with Wendy Williams on November 16th, Tyra Banks debunked rumors of a steamy relationship with new America’s Top Model judge, Rob Evans. “He’s like my brother, but maybe he has a crush on his sister”, she claims. Banks recently split from Wall Street banker, John Utendahl. Tyra laughed as she asked the audience to help her find a new man.

Despite a missing love connection, Banks (38) is still taking motherhood and her fertility seriously. She admits she has considered both egg freezing and adoption, replying to Williams’ reminder that egg freezing for fertility preservation is all the rage amongst Hollywood stars and career women.

Tyra might not be the best candidate for egg freezing for fertility preservation, however, as the recommended age is late 20s to early 30s. Our fertility declines significantly by the time we reach 35 years of age.

Banks joked that her eggs are probably poached or fried by now, but children - particularly through adoption - have been on her mind since she was just 9 years old. “Whether it’s freezing, whether it’s adoption, whether it’s with that man that y’all gonna hook me up with. Whatever it is, I’m going to have children… have to have children,” the star declares.

Delivered with humor and truth, we appreciate both Wendy and Tyra recognizing that women’s eggs don’t stop aging just because we aren’t ready to become mothers. You can watch more clips from the segment here: Tyra Banks Talks Egg Freezing and Adoption on the Wendy Williams Show.
