Charlie Sheen: #Winning as a Parent?
You’ve probably been hearing a few things here and there about some actor named Charlie Sheen. He has reportedly done drugs, gotten fired from his acting job, lives with "goddesses" and tweets to his almost 3 million followers about #winning and #tigerblood. And now he's scheduled a 20-show "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Death is Not an Option Tour."
In the midst of all of this media frenzy, Charlie Sheen is also a father.
Hopefully (very soon) you will also become a parent. But do you ever wonder what that really means?
Ask yourself, what kind of parent do I want to be? How do I want to raise my children, and will my partner be a good role model as well? Oftentimes, we get lost in the infertility frenzy of just wanting to get pregnant and have a baby, but we don’t really think about what it means to be a present and reliable parent.
Think about how your own parents raised you and what you will do the same or differently from them. It’s almost guaranteed that you will make a zillion parenting mistakes. But if you take the time to focus on what being a parent means to you, then you'll really be #winning!
