The Egg Retrieval Phobia

Going through in vitro fertilization (IVF) can be a difficult and nerve-wracking experience.

If it’s your first IVF, you may feel very nervous about the egg retrieval process (a process where eggs are removed from a woman’s ovaries before the fertilization process).

    Will it hurt?
How will I react from the anesthetic?
    Will they collect eggs?

It’s absolutely normal to have these worries, so talk to your fertility doctor about any concerns you have. If you’re feeling nervous, just remember why you’re doing IVF in the first place — a pregnancy and a little baby that will be worth it in the end.
