Fertility Authority’s Blog of the Week: Baby Hopeful

The blog we’d like to feature this week is Baby Hopeful.

Baby Hopeful is in the middle of her infertility journey. She has been trying to conceive naturally for the last two and a half years. Those two and a half years have been anything but easy for Baby Hopeful. She has had two devastating miscarriages but refuses to give up on her dream of becoming a mother. Baby Hopeful is currently on thyroid medication and progesterone. She plans to continue to try and conceive naturally for the next six months and then plans to cycle with IVF.

She created her blog Baby Hopeful shortly after her first miscarriage. She described feeling intense emotions after miscarrying and felt like her friends and family did not grasp what she was going through. Her online search led her to find a supportive online community that understood what she was going through. At first, she began her blog to get her feelings off of her chest but Baby Hopeful grew into something more. She soon found that it would give support and hope to other women like her. She explains, “I've read a lot of blogs which are like diaries. I wanted my readers to be able to find facts on my blog as well as my stories and feelings. So I try to incorporate facts and/or research I've done into my blog posts where I can.” Baby Hopeful initially felt very alone on her journey and hopes that her blog will help other women who are struggling realize that they are not alone on their journey.
