Fertility Authority’s Blog of the Week: The Male Perspective
The blog we’d like to feature this week is The Male Perspective.
Marc Sedaka is a screen and television writer, and author of the bestselling book “What He Can Expect When She’s Not Expecting: How to Support Your Wife, Save your Marriage and Conquer Infertility.” He and his wife, Samantha, had suffered through seven years of fertility treatments, including 16 intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles, 10 in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles, and gestational surrogacy. Since beginning the journey through infertility, Marc and his wife have welcomed twin girls born via surrogate and a third child conceived naturally!
“As a husband going through this process, I was filled with hundreds of questions and nobody to turn to for answers. So now that I’m on the other side, I invite you and/or your significant other, to consider me that answer guy on everything from what a man’s role should be, to how to keep him involved in the process, to what he might be experiencing or feeling at any given step of the journey. I’m here to offer suggestions and happy to help, because truly… nobody understands what your husband’s going through as much as I do.”
