Fertility Authority’s Blog of the Week: Our Nesting Project
The blog we’d like to feature this week is Our Nesting Project.
Like most women trying to conceive, Mrs. Harris became concerned when her cycles became increasingly spontaneous. Her GYN mentioned that she might have difficulty conceiving. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). They also found a blockage in her left fallopian tube. The couple eventually decided to undergo their first IUI but fell victim to Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome. Mrs. Harris decided to push forward and do another IUI but she didn’t get the results she was hoping for. The couple’s RE recommended IVF but they are not quite ready to make the financial leap.
Mrs. Harris started to blog as a way to track what was happening so that she could do research and refer back. She has since made the decision to make her blog public because she didn’t want to be ashamed about what she was going through. She described the desire to help other women and men by providing them with a community and a platform to learn from her own journey. Mrs. Harris explains, “You have nothing to be ashamed of – infertility is normal. You’re never alone.”
