Fertility Authority’s Blog of the Week: OurLastEmbryo
The blog we’d like to feature this week is OurLastEmbryo.
Melanie considers herself to be a “late bloomer.” She met her now husband when she was 35 years old. They began trying to conceive when she was 36 and after four months of trying she knew that something wasn’t right. When she was 37 she experienced the first of many laps of Endometriosis. They decided to proceed with IVF when she was 38 and FET shortly after. The year she turned 39 she underwent surgery to repair and treat her Endometriosis. This year Melanie will turn 40 and has not given up hope.
She created her blog OurLastEmbryo as a form of self-therapy. She explains, “It has helped me in so many ways. Even more so, it’s helped others! That makes me happy.” She hopes that her readers will learn from her mistakes and seek out a second opinion sooner rather than later.
