Grandma and Grandpa
Your parents want to be grandparents. You know because they’ve told you more than 100 times, and you’re getting a little tired of hearing it.
Sometimes it can be difficult telling your parents or in-laws about your infertility issues. But hopefully you have supportive and wonderful parents who will help you get through this difficult period of your life. If you feel nervous about telling your folks, do what feels most comfortable for you and hopefully they will respond with understanding and kindness. Often, parents (and even dads) can surprise you with their supportive response.
Or perhaps just get it off your chest right there at the dinner table — “Guess what, mom and dad? I’m getting artificially inseminated next Thursday. Please pass the potatoes.”
See how that turns out.
