PCOS Awareness — Learn More Here
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is estimated to affect up to one in 10 women of childbearing age; however, many women are unaware that they have it. In addition, PCOS is one of the most underdiagnosed diseases by doctors.
Often a woman does not know she has PCOS until she tries to get pregnant and is diagnosed by a reproductive endocrinologist. Because the disease can often be treated through lifestyle changes such as losing weight or medications that correct insulin resistance and ovulation problems, it's important to know about PCOS and recognize if you have the symptoms.
Learn more about PCOS during National PCOS Awareness Month. To help our readers easily locate content relating to the disease, FertilityAuthority has created a PCOS Awareness Page. Check it out!
