They recommend everyone to use CCS as a form of technology to test the embyro if they see it as a benefit. They recommend this to women of all ages because it will give the reproductive endocrinologists a higher rate of choosing the most viable embryo. Previously without this techonology, it would be more difficult to choose the viable embryo and could cause less of a chance of a successful transfer. Dr. Eric Forman from Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey explains.

A trial was performed to see the higher success rate of a single embryo transfer with CCS versus a transfer with two embryos. Both groups had an equal amount for the delivery rate. The difference was that the group in the study that had two embryos transferred had a 46% chance of conceiving with twins. This can cause a woman to have a more difficult pregnancy as well as more preterm births and having more time of their newborns in the NICU. Dr. Eric Forman from Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey explains.

We can now identify the best embryo using the safer technology of CCS. Aneuploidy and having the wrong number of chromosomes could be a big cause of miscarriages. It can also be the cause of having many patients undergo multiple cycles of IVF treatment. With this new form of technology, reproductive endocrinologists will be able to select the best embryo and transfer one. This will increase the chances of a successful pregnancy and decrease the chance of having multiples. Dr. Eric Forman from Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey explains.
