Best Embryos Selected for IVF Using Mathematical Model

Science Daily,  Feb 24, 2009

A team of researchers in Spain have developed a mathematical classification which makes it possible to select "the best candidates for implantation" in artificial reproduction treatments. "Up to now experts working in in vitro fertilisation have selected the best embryos subjectively, based on their training and experience," said Dinora A. Morales, a representative of the group who performed the studies. The two studies reported took a mathematical approach to analyzing the quality of embryos used in IVF.
