NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Most women agree with Jennifer Aniston in supporting single women using in vitro fertilization to have a child, a U.S. survey indicates.

Aniston, while promoting her film, "The Switch," about a single woman who conceives a child through artificial insemination, said: "Times have changed and we have so many options these days, as opposed to our parents' days when you can't have children because you have waited too long," reported.

Bill O'Reilly, host of the FNC's "The O'Reilly Factor," criticized Aniston comments as: "Destructive to our society," and accused her of "diminishing the role of the dad."

The survey of 1,936 U.S. women ages 25-45, conducted before the dust up, June 7-14, says 83 percent say they support a single woman using IVF to conceive if she is emotionally and financially able to care for the child.

Couples who are experiencing low sperm count may choose to use Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) where a single sperm is injected directly into a woman’s egg for a better likelihood of fertilization. This process is used in conjunction with IVF.
