Celine Dion Hopes to Conceive Second Child with Fifth Attempt at IVF
Celine Dion is determined to go on.
The Canadian diva shares her painful struggle to get pregnant again via in-vitro fertilization in a revealing People magazine cover story.
"I'm going to try until it works," says Dion, 41. "Five is my lucky number, so this is the time it's got to [work]."
The "My Heart Will Go On" singer has undergone daily hormone injections and painful tests in her attempts to conceive, but the biggest blow was when she briefly became pregnant with the help of IVF last August. Tragically, she lost the pregnancy.
"We were [pregnant], it was positive," she told “Access Hollywood” at the time. "And yes it was, so for about four or five days later, then with the blood test, they found out that it was going down a little bit and it was not staying."
"We are living the reality of the majority of couples who have to use [IVF]. The process can be long and arduous," husband René Angelil, 67, told the Canadian paper Journal de Montreal. "But today, we are full of confidence. Celine is more determined than ever." >Read more.
