Men Having Vasectomies Should Store Their Sperm Says IVF Pioneer
AN IVF pioneer has called for men to be required to store sperm before having a vasectomy, with rising numbers of men changing their minds after the snip.
Monash IVF's international medical director Professor Gab Kovacs said he sees up to two couples a week who want another child after a vasectomy.
Thousands of men are having vasectomy reversals in Australia each year after entering new relationships or deciding to have a bigger family.
Prof Kovacs said not enough doctors were encouraging men to ensure they stored sperm as an "insurance policy".
