PETA Removes Infertility Link from Vasectomy Contest

Animal rights group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has changed the wording of their vasectomy contest after angering the infertile community.

The group is offering up one vasectomy — a reimbursement of up to $500 once the procedure is confirmed — so "one lucky man be reproduction free, free of charge, just like his pooch or feline friend." The campaign was originally "in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week."

Blogger Keiko Zoll started a petition and the infertility group, RESOLVE, condemned the campaign, saying it was a "trivialization of infertility."
