Brit Mother to Freeze Own Eggs for Infertile 2-year-old Daughter
In a rare case of maternal love, Penny Jarvis, 25, wants to freeze her eggs for her infertile daughter Mackenzie, in order to give her the same chances as everyone else to have a child of her own some day.
Penny said, “It’s what most people want — to be a mum. Mackenzie has three sisters and I couldn’t imagine her growing up and watching them have children while she couldn’t have her own."
Two-years-old Mackenzie Stephens has Turner's Syndrome, a chromosome abnormality which almost always causes infertility.
However, women can conceive using donor eggs as the condition does not usually affect the womb, only the eggs.
