Male Varicoceles More Serious than Thought

Varicoceles, a cause of male infertility, also interferes with the production of testosterone, an issue in maintaining male health, U.S. researchers Weill Cornell Medical College say. As many as 15 percent of men have varicoceles — masses of enlarged and dilated veins in the testicles.
