Woman Could Have Only Six Months to Live Due to Endometriosis

A British woman, Clare Woolaway, 37, has suffered from endometriosis for 16 years, during which she has undergone repeated stomach and bowel surgery, been forced to have a hysterectomy, lost weight and much of her hair and endured skepticism that she has anything worse than period pains. Woolaway, who first exhibited symptoms of bloating and serious pain at age 21 but wasn’t diagnosed until she was 27, is now relying on the help of gynecological surgeon and oncologist. Her regular surgeon at Medway Maritime Hospital said she was beyond his help.
