Success at Bethesda

My sister and I are 3/3 at this clinic with Dr Hofmann in regards to successful outcomes (pregnancy) during our fresh IVF cycles. We saw Dr Hofmann and I now am seeing Dr Reynolds for my FET (who is absolutely amazing! She gives you plenty of time to discuss your concerns and really feels like your having an open discussion with a girlfriend). I'm hoping we are 4/4 after I hear the result of this transfer but cannot recommend Dr Reynolds more. In my opinion, the embryologist is a KEY PLAYER in your Ivf success and they do not come better than Dr. Warikoo. For that reason alone we recommmend Bethesda enthusiastically.

Not a Serious Clinic

I was a patient at BFC for about 7 months, during which I did 3 medicated IUIs. After that, I switched to another clinic in the area for a 4th IUI, and I'm now doing a 5th IUI at yet another clinic. Of the three, Bethesda was the least serious and cut corners. They did not do a baseline u/s or any other monitoring on day 3, which I've since found out is standard for other fertility clinics. I had only one u/s per cycle, about two days before my IUI. They also did not check my progesterone levels or prescribe progesterone for the post-IUI luteal phase, even when I expressed concern because my initial progesterone test number was on the low side. Dr Reynolds assured me that neither my husbands 1% sperm morphology or my history of rheumatoid arthritis was anything to worry about, but both of these factors were red flags for the other two clinics I have been to since. Although Dr Reynolds has a great bedside manner and the staff are all very nice, I realized after going to other clinics that BFC is not nearly as thorough in their protocol, they skip steps, and they don't seem very interested in finding a diagnosis—we remained "unexplained" in our infertility at BFC. On top of all that, they billed my IUIs as "surgery" so that I had to pay a $100 copay, instead of just the $20 copay that I paid for exactly the same procedure at other clinics. I do not recommend this fertility clinic, especially when there are other far better clinics in the Cincinnati/Dayton area.

Horrific IVF Experience

I had the worst experience possible with Dr. Hoffman. Not only did I not feel listened to, Dr. Hoffman lost his temper and raised his voice at me multiple times while I was undergoing the transfer for IVF. Instead of addressing my concerns and making me feel more at ease during the procedure, he made me feel uncomfortable and psychologically abused. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone who is going through fertility issues and needs compassionate care and assistance.

Wonderful People

Dr. Hoffman and his team are wonderful people who really do care about their patients. I'm still going through treatment and am not sure if the outcome will be positive but I am thankful for going through it with them my side. Me and my husband are eternally grateful for all of the help that the staff have given us and are hopeful for our BFP!

Dr. Hoffman was friendly and professional. His staff was very helpful, and always took my calls to answer questions, even on weekends. I did 2 rounds of egg freezing (Unfertilized) at this clinic to increase my chances for pregnancy in the future. Very glad I did this! This is a growing technology and Dr. Hoffmann's group is on the cutting edge. The other place in town (Hyde Park) didn't even offer this service. Now I have 15 eggs in the bank!

I really am pleased with the level of care and bedside manner in this practice. Dr. Hoffman is great.

Dr. Hoffman and the entire staff at Bethesda were amazing. Honestly like night & day between the other fertilty clinic I was using. We felt like we were treated like people and not numbers or how much we were willing to spend to have a family. Everything very clearly written in their packets. I already feel more comfortable with Dr.Hoffman in one visit, than with my previous fertility provider at almost 1 year of treatments.
