My husband and I over the past 25 years have worked with professionals in the fertility field in 3 countries and have never encountered a firm like IHR. We haven't had exposure to IVF in 16 years and just recently started treatment. Over the 3 months we dealt with this practice we were continuously amazed at what we experienced. They do not monitor patients over the weekend which should raise a red flag to anyone considering them. A lazy and non-caring attitude is apparent throughout. Trying to communicate with unresponsive and less than competent staff was most stressful and frustrating; phone calls repeatedly remained unanswered and were not returned; correspondence via email was equally problematic; IVF protocols sent to us by the coordinator at cycle start either contained mistakes or were wrong altogether. Woe to those patients who have a limited understanding of their treatment and medications.

Review of Dr. Cohen

Your rating: 55 1
This review is about Dr. Cohen at IHR and the IHR staff. For Dr. Cohen I would give him 5 stars, for IHR I would rate them 2.5 stars. DR COHEN REVIEW Dr. Cohen is kind, gentle, straightforward and a man with solutions. I switched to Cohen after a failed retrieval. My doctor at the time offered very little in terms of solutions. Dr. Cohen was not phased by my diagnosis (unexplained infertility), providing new ideas each step of the way. While I did have 5 transfers before our success (10.5 weeks pregnant now), I always felt like Cohen was thinking of ways to make sure I became pregnant in the most healthy way possible. He explains everything and is always there when you have a question. My anxiety was at its max during the process and he never judged me for my feelings. Instead he talked through issues with me and was incredibly kind. Next time around, we we will use Dr. Cohen again. IHR REVIEW Staff at IHR means well and most of the women have kind hearts however their system and processes are incredibly inefficient. Instead of having appointment times, you are expected to show up in the morning and wait for blood and ultrasound. This can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 1.5 hours. Further the way information is delivered is impersonal and unfortunately I had many times where the information was wrong. As a result I had to always be on my toes constantly nagging my coordinator. This caused extra unneeded stress. Further, on two occasions my lab results were lost which caused intense anxiety during time sensitive times. Dr. Cohen tried to rectify situations when we could. Overall, my expierience coordinating my meds, appointments, etc. was difficult and cumbersome.

Very happy with IHR

My husband and I were referred to IHR by my OBGYN. We were blessed four years ago to have natural conception with our daughter but after trying again for over a year with no results we began our journey at IHR. I can not say enough wonderful things about this infertility office. New and inexperienced about the journey ahead of us, my husband and I were greatly comforted with the highly experienced and trained doctors/staff. Dr. Cohen always welcomed us and answered all our questions along our journey. Dr Cohen always made me feel confident in his care, eased my anxiety when needed with his positive attitude. I also appreciated Dr. Cohen's honesty regarding our specific infertility diagnosis and follow up along the way. The front desk staff, blood nurse and ultra sound tech were equally as trained and welcoming. My nurse Karen was especially fantastic, patient and kind. Anytime I called or left an email at IHR they were always answered in a timely manner. The office is very clean and always found parking right in front. We feel very fortune and blessed to have received successful news on our second round of IVF and our expecting our second baby girl Feb 2016. We are very thankful for our experience at IHR and would highly recommend anyone going through infertility treatment to their facility. Dr. Cohen is the best!

We had second opinion appointment last Thursday doctor spent 1hr almost and did analyze everything , gave us a plan. Later we had talk with one of his staff and supposed to get treatment plan and further steps by Friday as per discussion with her. Today is Wednesday and no one called and left voice messages almost everyday , till now no response from the hospital. I am not sure, can I consider this team or facility to determine our family.

We would like to Thank Dr Tur-Kaspa and his IHR staff in making our second blessing come. After meeting in July 2013 with Dr Tur-Kaspa he asked us what we wanted we said baby and dr said he was there to help. After going thru a lot of testing he changed our plan from IUI to IVF. I have to admit I was scared thinking what are we getting into. Our next step was to meet with Olga to learn how to give the shots and to fill out the paperwork for the embryos. We were confused we did not know if we should freeze the left overs or discard. Thanks to Olga explaining it to us we decided to freeze the leftover. Thank god she explained it to us because that was our little blessing that took. Also Vicki was great ever y time I had a question she would give the message to the person who would answer it. Also Dr Tur-Kaspa morning staff was great with my Little 4 yr. old boy that would come with me for my morning monitoring of blood test and ultrasounds. After our retrieval and the first transfer of two embryos which did not work I thought this will never work. We decided to put the frozen one back in I starting think Positive and saying this is going to happen for us. The longest 10 days of my life was waiting for the day of the pregnancy test. The day came and Vernita called to tell me you are Pregnant I was so excited I handed the phone to my Husband which was shocked to hear our First retrieval Frozen embryo worked. My four year said High Five to Dr Tur-Kaspa for making him a big brother. Our little Blessing is Due July 27, 2014 which was around the time a year later of our first visit with Dr Tur-Kaspa. We were helpless, confused, and worried thinking it will never happen and it did. Thank you Dr Tur-Kaspa, and the IHR staff for our little bundle of joy. Without you our blessing would not be coming.
