BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - OTHER REVIEWS ARE MORE THAN LIKELY FAKE

My wife and I went to IVF of Dearborn and had a bad experience throughout the entire process. Please beware of this company, I don't write reviews but for this place I felt it was absolutely necessary. Our story: My wife and I are both carriers of cystic fibrosis and wanted to ensure the health of our future child, therefore we decided to do IVF with genetic screening. When my wife went under for egg retrieval she was supposed to get her IUD removed as well. We kindly reminded the nurse and Dr. Ahmad Hammoud before she went in that she had an IUD and it had to be removed. When she came out from the egg retrieval process, she was in an extreme amount of pain from the egg retrieval process and we asked the nurse if the IUD was removed and how did it go. The nurse said that Dr. Ahmad Hammoud forgot to take it out and that my wife had to go back in to get it removed now that we reminded them. My wife went back in again to the room to have the IUD removed and about 30 minutes later the nurse brought my wife back out and stated that it wasn't possible for Dr. Ahmad Hammoud to remove her IUD and that she had to go to her regular gynecologist to have it removed. My wife sat in pain for 1 week on our couch and was unable to move because the torture she was put through trying to get her IUD removed by Dr. Ahmad Hammoud. About 3 weeks later we were brought into a room with Dr. Ahmad Hammoud and another doctor who was sleeping in a chair with his eyes closed sitting up. We were told by Dr. Ahmad Hammoud that we had one healthy embryo that could be inserted. We were thrilled. Then Dr. Ahmad Hammoud said, "oh wait a minute, this one can't be inserted either because it is unhealthy as well." This means Dr. Ahmad Hammoud did not even read our chart before we entered the room, got our hopes up and let us down tremendously. The other doctor continued to sleep in his chair with no remorse and never woke up. Dr. Ahmad Hammoud said, "well do you have enough money to do it again?" We both started crying and were horrified with our experience. Less than a week later the office called us and stated that they wanted to test one more embryo. Then the office emailed us the results a week later that the embryo had cystic fibrosis and never even bothered to follow up with a phone call. Good thing I check my email. Only reason they get one star is because my insurance company needed several documents from the office and they gave it to them. Please take my advice and do not go to them unless you want to be devastated beyond belief with a horror story like ours.

The staff and Doctor Hammoud are very accommodating and understanding they helped both my wife and I through a difficult time and were ecstatic when they realized that we had our first child.

Go to the Bloomfield location

Dr Hammoud is amazing, but his staff is atrocious. Do yourself a favor and just cycle at the Bloomfield office. The blood draw girl is horrible and my husband has to point out good veins for her. Their ultrasound tech is not, she's just a nurse with zero ultrasound training. Don't bother calling or coming in on Tuesdays or Thursdays, apparently the only one there is the front desk girl. Trust me, Bloomfield is so worth the extra drive. They actually have medical experience. If you're wondering, we did get pregnant our first ivf cycle.
