Baby B on the way thanks to Dr Glassner and mainline fertility

I can not speak highly enough of Dr Glassner, Rachel his PA, and all the nursing and staff. As a physician assistant myself I was beyond impressed with the care both clinically and emotionally that this office provides to its patients. My husband and I had issues trying for over a year when we saw Dr Glassner. He was very positive we had a small problem that just needed some fine tuning. My first treatment with clomid and IUI was successful- unfortunately this pregnancy had a chromosomal abnormality which lead to miscarriage around 11 weeks. But from day 1 that I learned I was pregnant, Dr Glassner knew things looked suspicious and prepared me for what was to come. After a few weeks to recover, we did clomid and IUI again- also successful on the first attempt. I am now 30 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy and my husband and I couldnt be more thankful to this gift. I can not thank Mainline Fertility enough and look forward to making more babies with their help

We can't thank them enough

Our experience with Dr. Glassner and the Main Line Fertiltiy Clinic (MLF) dates back to the start of 2011. We were unsure of what to expect from the initial consultation. We sat down with the doctor and noticed right away he had the perfect balance of compassion, professionalism, humor and candidness. For a long time we had been so hard on ourselves and Dr. Glassner made that disappear in an instant – to be replaced with purpose and direction. The Doctor laid out our options clearly and when we asked him to explain something he broke it down into laymen terms. The Doctor, as with every appointment, took time with us and answered any questions we had. Every step of the way we felt like he was there. As many know, the IVF process involves many office visits and with each visit we met multiple nurses, who were/are (and I can’t stress this enough) absolutely wonderful. They offered us smiles on good days and hugs and tears on bad days. They were so compassionate and helpful. And in 2012 we were surprised and blessed with beautiful healthy baby boy. It brings tightness to my chest to think without advances in technology and without this clinic we may not have experienced all the joys of holding our son, our little miracle, to watching him crawl, to walk and now be running circles around us. We realized just how lucky we were after multiple attempts to conceive our second in the years to come. Luckily the facility gests involved with clinical trials to make things more affordable and accessible. We did try another fertility clinic, said to cheaper and specialize in our specific issue, but ended up unimpressed and returned to MLF. We were recently surprised to find out we are expecting again and our first port of call was to MLF for monitoring. We know all too well that feeling of month to month, trying naturally, medicated, IUI's, IVF's etc… - trying to read into each symptom and the heart ache to come, time and again. Without MLF by our sides I'm not sure how we could have done it. Thank goodness we found MLF. The Doctors are amazing. We mainly saw Dr. Glassner, who is a top notch, friendly and professional doctor. Likewise is his P.A Rachel, along with the team of nurses who bring a whole new meaning to brilliance. Looking back over the years, through the ups and downs, we wouldn't change a thing - Thank you MLF.

pregnant in two tries

Everyone at Main Line Health Fertility was professional, warm and (most importantly) effective. I worked with Dr. Brazil but also enjoyed my interactions with admin staff and nurses. My wife and I were hoping to have a second child, and a true sibling to our first son who is two now. It took four tries for me to get pregnant with my son (with Penn Fertility) and we only had two vials left when we came to Main Line Health in January. I was extremely impressed with the level of science that Main Line Health utilized from the beginning. I did not personally require fertility drugs but from the very beginning we used blood tests and ultra sounds to determine my ovulation cycle, which did not happen my first time around. I'm VERY pleased to say that I got pregnant on my second try and recently found out that my son will have a brother in November. Thank you Main Line Health and Dr Brazil! You come highly recommended by us!

My husband and I could not be happier with the experience we had at Main Line Fertility. We saw Dr. Glassner and his P.A. Rachel, both of whom have a great bedside manner, took time to answer questions and were very compassionate. All of the staff who work at Main Line Fertility are friendly, supportive and compassionate. Dealing with infertility is a stressful situation and everyone there took time to explain what they were doing and answer questions. I could not imagine a better patient experience than what my husband and I received at Main Line Fertility and we will be forever grateful to them.

Fantastic Clinic with Great Results; Awful billing department

Perhaps this should be 5 stars because any price is worth the baby I'm about to have in less than 2 weeks. However, the billing department is so awful that it scares me I will continue to receive bills when this child is in college. Dr. Glassner and his team are amazing! I knew I had a problem with getting pregnant, but I kept thinking that it would all work out. I waited until I was 41, and 6 years after the birth of my son before going to see someone. I saw Dr. Glassner, and he was very open and realistic with me about the odds and challenges with my age and the results of my tests. Nonetheless, in 1 month - yes, just 1 month! - of seeing Dr. Glassner, I was pregnant. I never got as far as hormones or IVF. He followed me through a cycle, and I had an appointment on the last possible fertile day. He said we could try IUI and they would fit me in that day if I could work out the logistics. Otherwise, I would have to wait a month. We did it, and in the meantime, scheduled the IVF initial discussion. About 3 weeks later, I was pregnant! I got to cancel the IVF appointment. Now, I am about 2 weeks from my due date with a healthy baby boy as far as we could tell right now. I feel truly blessed and incredibly grateful to Dr. Glassner, and all the wonderful nurses and staff in the office. The billing has been the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor's office. I kept receiving duplicate bills despite regular payments. If you are going to see them every few days, and they keep giving you bills, they are not giving time for the billing department to catch up. It gets incredibly confusing, and I am sure I paid duplicates. After about 3 months of no bills, I received a statement for over $1300! What a shock. I paid it out of pocket, but it was never clear how that suddenly came all those months later. I called, and the office manager was rude. I left her 2 messages which she claimed I never left, but it was her name, her voice and her voicemail! I did not appreciate the implication that I was making that up. I also kept receiving a duplicate bill for $21.21. It's not a lot, but I keep asking what is going on. I had 1 of the staff finally return it to me with the uncashed check saying, "Sorry for the confusion. Payment was already posted. -NIcole" and yet now, 9 months into my pregnancy so 7 months since an office visit, I have that bill for $21.21 showing up again. I'm going to just pay it to end this, but wait, I already tried that. I read other stories of people ending up with bills years later, and I have to admit I am nervous. In summary, my baby is worth all the aggravation and frustration and fees - even if duplicate, but it's unfortunate that with such a great Doctor and such wonderful services that there has to be such a negative aspect. I would do it all over again. Dr. Glassner and his team are wonderful. Billing department just needs to be revamped with people who could provide patients with clarity around billing and accuracy of billing.

Good but make sure you find the right fit!

I am still currently working with MLF to conceive. So far my experience has been both positive and negative. The support staff (nurses, medical assistants, ultra sound techs etc) are incredible. INCREDIBLE!! I had a hysteroscopy and STP that due to my endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain where very, very painful. The nurses provided so much support and compassion during that process. I have switched doctors within the practice due to bed side manner. I started with Dr. Orris and never received the time and attention I wanted. I felt like he never closely reviewed my history or took time to address my concerns. I have responded well physically to his recommendations for treatment so far BUT this is also such an emotional process and he was not a good fit for my husband and I. He also never explained things in detail and seemed dismissive when I asked questions. I have since switched to Dr. Glassner and his P.A. and I think they are a much better fit. So I would recommend that practice but maybe meet with the various doctors before you commit to one.

Main Line Fertility is TOP NOTCH!

My husband and I have truly appreciated everything Main Line Fertility and Dr. Glassner have done for us. The staff at the Bryn Mawr office has always been welcoming and approached our issues with sensitivity, positivity and professionalism. I truly felt Dr. Glassner was determined to make our dreams of becoming parents true and was always honest and upfront about what treatments were necessary to get us there. Glassner, Orris & Brasile each have something different to offer patients - for us Dr. Glassner's humor and directness is something we appreciated very much during a time that can be very daunting and uncertain. We now have a 1 year old healthy, happy, baby girl and we have Main Line Fertility to thank for that.

Poor bedside manner, no results

We stopped going to MLF because of the poor bed side manner of the Dr treating us. When we first met the doctor, he said while we were with him, we would always be his number 1 concern. He then almost immediately took a phone call with us waiting. (he didn't even appreciate the irony) He went on to make inappropriate comments to my wife the 1 other time she saw him (' I know what you did last night!'). Billing for all the procedures was confusing. We would be told one price, 'oh its only about $10 for the screening' and then see a massive $1400 bill a few weeks later. That bill did eventually come down to closer to their initial estimate but no warning on the sticker shock. After promising quick results, and that it would be 'no problem' we gave up treatment after a few months. While the nurses were great, the Dr was not. We were also planning a move, so we didn't want to go further. In the end, the only records of the treatment I have are the bills. So now that we are starting up treatment in a new state, we have to pay $150+ just to get our records sent to our new Dr so we don't have to repeat painful/embarrassing procedures. What a sick joke. Our new doctor was straight forward with us from day 1, showing us the chances we have at having a live birth for each different approach. This helps us set expectations instead of building up and shattering my wife's hopes.

Nurturing, Thoughtful Care

Excellent Experience

I continue to be impressed with Dr. Glassner's staff and the facility at Mainline Fertility. I started working with them in November after not getting pregnant for several months. By May, I was expecting. We did not have to have IVF; we were fortunate to be able to use medication and IUI to conceive. The staff are beyond kind and welcoming. One thing I appreciate so much now (especially given the negative experience I'm having at my regular OB) is how quickly they see you. I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes before seeing someone. Given how last minute you have to make appointments (sometimes with only a day's notice since that's how these things work), they do an amazing job of getting you and and seen in a timely manner. I appreciate all they have done for me!

The humanity

Our encounter with “the clinic” in KOP left us totally disenchanted with IVF. Luckily, we decided to try MLF and all we can say is WOW. What a completely different experience! Dr. Glassner was supportive, informative, congenial, and genuinely invested in our success – in essence, the exact opposite of “the clinic”. Needless to say, if IVF is your only option then the clear choice is MLF, regardless of the outcome, at a minimum you will feel like a human and not just a SART statistic or a bottomless piggy bank.

Dr. Glassner is an angel from heaven

I was referred to Dr. Glassner due to secondary infertility. IVF was very difficult for me emotionally, financially, logistically, and spiritually. Going through 4 rounds of IVF was incredibly challenging. Dr. Glassner's personal care and determination not to give up on me kept me strong throughout the process. His sense of humor was a huge bonus in my experience! His investment in me had me trusting his decisions completely. I am gratefully pregnant expecting twins. The staff are also so incredibly warm and wonderful.

Main Line Fertility is the Best of the Best

My husband and I came to see Dr. Glassner after I miscarried and my regular OB/GYN said "it was no big deal" and told us to try again in three months. We wanted answers and results and that's what Main Line Fertility gave us. Dr. Glassner was attentive, professional, and listened to our concerns. Within just a few, short months, he helped us get pregnant and we are expecting soon! His staff is undisputedly made up of the kindest, most thoughtful, and welcoming women we have ever met - they kept us smiling when we were worried and helped us celebrate when we found out we were expecting. Between his waiting room staff, nurses, and Dr. Glassner himself, the office is a well-oiled machine and we never waited more than a few minutes for our appointments. We can't say enough positive things about Dr. Glassner and Main Line Fertility and highly recommend them both.

Making Dreams Reality

From the first moment we met with Dr Glassner we knew we were in the right place to make our dream of becoming parents a reality. Dr. Glassner and his staff are extremely professional, supportive and always put their patients first. Through the entire process I felt extremely comfortable knowing that Dr. Glassner was guiding us in the right direction to help us archive a successful pregnancy. We were even lucky enough to attain two successful pregnancies under his care. We will be forever grateful for Dr Glassner and the entire MLF team for all they have done for us. I would recommend MLF to anyone as I know they are the best in the business. - L & J Waters

My wife and I are happy with the services offered by main line fertility. The physicians are very knowldgeable, all staff is professional and courteous, and the facilities are state of the art. Dealing with infertility challenges can be stressful and costly but this center is one of the best in the Phila-NJ-NYC region based on our experiences.

IVF treatment

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. The staff is not straight forward with you about your progress. They told me from the beginning that everything was going well and looked great, then two days before my surgery they cancel my treatment, telling me I wasn't responding to the medication. They get your hopes up and then squash them with a two minute telephone call. Not only that, they do not treat their patients well. I came in as soon as they opened for a scheduled appointment and had to stand in the rain for 15 minutes to wait for someone to open the door, after several calls to the office which went unanswered. This entire establishment is a huge disappointment and I'm sorry I ever chose them.
