It's all about the Benjamins

I was very excited for my first visit with Dr. Littman. When they took me back to her office, I had to wait in the hall because she hadn't even looked at my chart/test results. Then, she spent more time trying to get my sister, who came with me, to donate her eggs then discussing me. They failed to inform me that after I did all of these exhausting (some painful) tests that I would need to come up with $3500 to pay for the medications. I told them I didn't have it and would need time. They said they have many clients in the same position. Shortly after, I heard a contest on the radio stating that Red Rock Fertility is giving away the very thing I needed. I applied for grants and financial assistance but needed Red Rock and Dr. Littman to complete the medical portion so that I could be considered. They said they would help, but I have never heard from them again and they don't return communications. I get it's a business, but I'm very hurt and disappointment by the whole experience. I was definitely just a number to them. Once my insurance stopped paying they stopped pretending to care about helping me create a family.
