I was a patient at RMA for less than an year. My doctor.Rybak was very caring and compassionate. I am 27 years old when he.suggested Ivf for me after 3 failed iuis at other place due to unexplained infertility. I had done, freeze all IVF.cycle where I finally had only one cromosomally mormal embryo. His decision to do select ccs to test the chromosomes before trasfer was very helpful. The transfer of one embryo gave me my baby boy. I will be forever thankful for my doctor and RMA

Nurses are not good

We are generally quit experienced when it comes to IVF as we have tried it already with Weill Cornell. When we moved to Northern NJ, RMA Englewood is the one closest to us and thought to give it a try despite some bad reviews. To date, our experience is way below expectations as there are nurses who always sound like they are scolding us and are transmitting information not consistent with what the RMA doctor we are seeing has told us.

My experience with RMA...

Our daughter just turned 1. Were it not for RMA we would have not celebrated this joyous occasion. I am 40+ years old and both my husband and I had issues that kept us from getting pregnant. We did one round of IVF and, with God's grace and blessings, it was successful. We have two additional embryos frozen. I have absolutely no complaints about my experience with RMA. I was treated at the Basking Ridge and Englewood location. My nurse was fantastic, as was my doctor. RMA was the only place where a doctor sat down with us and explained everything thoroughly, gave us all our options, etc. (our initial consultation took over an hour). Additionally, their patient accounts staff was very helpful (our insurance didn't cover IFV so we had to pay all costs out of pocket). Yes sometimes the reception staff can be a little short, but when you have an office full of patients at 6AM in the morning, who clearly need to get to work, you have to keep a steady flow going. But in terms of my care, my procedures, follow-up, etc...they were above the rest and I would certainly recommend them to other women out there. On a side note, we recently went to a birthday party where we met a couple who also did treatments at RMA. They had twins, first round, a boy and a girl.

Disorganized and rude

I was asked to get my blood drawn anytime after 6am. I get there at 8am and the receptionist refuses to even speak to me. When a doctor comes out and notices I've been sitting there for a while I hear the receptionist tell her "she was late" when she didn't say a word to me and I was supposed to be a walk in in the first place. Not sure how long she would have me waiting when I was literally the only person there. Finally the nurse who was supposed to check my blood pressure helped me out and took me to the phlebotomist (there were 2 of them and no other patient there for a blood draw). Extremely unprofessional and rude ... try to avoid this location if you don't want to be aggravated throughout your treatment cycle.

My RMA experience

I was recently a patient at RMA in Englewood and my experience was very pleasant and successful! I tried a couple of ivf's previously in a different clinic and none of them worked. However, at RMA my ivf was successful (my husband and I are both in our 40-ies)! I am finally pregnant! The staff in RMA was very pleasant and attentive and always answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend going to RMA for an ivf!

Loved RMA and Dr. Bohrer!

I was a patient at RMA NJ a few years ago. I did IVF to have my twins. They were all fantastic from the front desk staff to the nurses to the doctors. Yes, you will see whichever doctor is on rotation that day. No, you will not get the same hand-holding you would at a one doctor practice. However, you do have your own nurse who holds your hand through the cycle, returns your calls/emails at the end of each day. It has been several years since I even walked through the door and my nurse (Adrienne) STILL corresponds with me via email. From a professional standpoint, she doesn't owe me that but does it out of courtesy just to go above and beyond. RMA is wonderful! Sorry to those who had a bad experience.

Was a patient at RMA for three years. Did four rounds of IVF. If over 40 do not fall for their embryo banking plan. Chances are over 40, you will never get that many decent embryos worth banking anyway but they do not tell you this. I also wasted money on PGD testing each round. With the "healthy" embryos from PGD testing, I got nothing but BFN. After two rounds, I insisted on changing the protocol, they refused. It is a factory, I honestly believe this is not the right place for women over 40 who need a more receptive doctor who will focus on your individual needs and not just have you follow the standard protocol for all patients. I wish I had the money to try St Barnabas instead.
