I would not recommend them

The first time I went there I was impressed with the staff but as I kept going there I quickly changed my mind. Their fees will change from one visit to the other with no reason. They will tell you one price and next time will give you a different one for the same service and love to make you take multiple appointments so you will pay consultation fees each time. I had test done over there and never got the result in my hand . When you call to talk to Dr. Asmar they will tell you that he is not in the office and he is going to call back the next day, but guess what he never does. Please don't go there.

Grateful to Dr.Asmer

We had a great experience with Dr.Asmer and his staff. He is very professional, vary calm and positive. We had a successful IVF procedure and he did a great job. I highly recommend him to any couple who are trying to conceive a baby.

Dr Asmar is great, the insurance benefits coordinator leaves much to be desired. My insurance, lucky for us, covers so much. Then come to find out their lab facility that is physically inside the clinic does not participate in any insurance plan. I found this out after all the testing was completed and it is time to order medication. Guess what, IVF and IVF with ICSI you need a lab to do the procedures and I would need to pay upfront for this. There is a reason this was included within the pre-authorization. Now I have to pay $2,000+ beyond what is required for my out of pocket before they will even order my medication. Completely outrageous. I have requested in person and on the phone a detailed bill because I have just seen some discrepancies in what I have been charged and what the insurance company says I need to pay. Now I have to scramble to find a new doctor before our benefits change Jan 1st, so I requested my medical records and they want to charge me! Beyond unacceptable.

Do not go here....

Dr. Asmar was a very nice man...very calming....very positive and very reassuring....through my 2 IUI cycles and 3 IVFs. He never gave up hope....until my insurance benefits ran out. Then he told me we should consider adoption. Yet he couldn't tell me why the treatments were not working. Scheduling was a nightmare. I would call and Angela had not even called for my insurance approval therefore I was delayed a month or more on almost every cycle. After the last visit where he discussed adoption...I went to Shady Grove for a second opinion. The doctor took one look at my charts and said there was no reason we shouldn't be pregnant. He pulled up SART information and showed me WFC's results. He told me they had a lab issue. We did one cycle with SG and transferred two embryos (which they normally don't due, but did due to our lack of success) and conceived our beautiful twins and froze one embryo! Dr. Asmar is a one man show that does not have the technology and is outdated in his procedures and protocols. Do not go there! Go straight to Shady Grove!

I wouldn't recommend Dr.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Asmar for my worst enemy. A friend of mine had a horrible experience, and I thought maybe she was exaggerating. I had my consultation with him and I simply loved him...and I said to myself hmmm those negative comments about him are so not true. But wait...I was WRONG! The clinical coordinator is RUDE, and gets annoyed with questions. As for Asmar, you will barely see him after the first meeting because he is always in a hurry to run for something, so the nurse practitioner takes over...and the poor nurse practitioner needs to go back to school. A grad of Yale? well such a disgrace to be a grad of an IV league school and not have basic knowledge. Didn't Yale teach you to read patient's information before you walk in to the room? haven't you learned to properly answer patient's concerns and not lie when you have no clue what to say? and why push for unnecessary tests that are not covered by insurance but offer assurance they are covered? and maybe you should start learning how to differentiate between an abnormal and normal test and not depend on what's written under abnormal report. As for Asmar is a scammer, watch out for hidden fees..and by the way in the middle of your treatment he will increase the fees of procedures and tell you sorry I am trying to be competitive, I walked out in middle of an IVF cycle in tears. He thinks by increasing the prices, he will attract more customers because they will think he is more competitive. He is obsessed with shady grove by the way, He tries copying their management of the practice.
