I spent a lot of money being a patient that didn't have infertility coverage, I had PCOS and he did nothing to treat my symptoms or get it under control, instead we attempted cycle after cycle of iui's at $1000.00 per month plus the cost of meds. I was told IVF would be my only option. I moved on to a different Doctor whom helped get my PCOS under control with metformin ($4 ) and after 2 months of watching my hormones we used an ovulation inducing pill and became pregnant. Dr. Donesky is a money hungry Doctor.

Wonderful Experience

My husband and I have been working with Dr. Donesky for 4.5 years with a break or two for my family's mental health. The first thing Dr. Donesky said to me was that I could get pregnant. Nothing in my file of endometriosis and my husband's poor morphology scared him. He has performed surgery on me and it was flawless. He's been with me through every IUI and IVF cycle. He's tweaked each cycle to better tailor it to my needs. He's understanding, compassionate and not-to-mention a genius. He's pushing this field by researching and always trying to find ways to have better outcomes. Oh, and then there is his staff. They would have me believe I am their only patient. I've never had any trouble getting ahold of his medical assistant for questions, meds, and even gripes. Everyone from the financial team to the front door staff makes me feel loved and supported. I would never had the chance to be pregnant without Donesky and his staff, and that is something I will never be able to thank them enough for.

Moving on

At this point I have an appt for a second opinion. The Knoxville office is really run by nurses and the doctor comes in a few days a week. I saw a nurse then waited for a decision on what to do next from the doctor by their online system. Now that my one IVF cycle failed he wants me to come in separately and pay for a meeting just to talk to him about what's next. If I need to start over I figured I should just try somewhere else where I actually see a doctor. The online system is annoying, why can't they just call or email? They also just make appointments for you and send it in their system. There is no personal service or consideration for your schedule. You may get better service in Chattanooga.

Would never go back!!

We did lots of IUIs and tried clomid and Femara. Nothing worked. I kept asking about endometriosis and he wouldn't even talk about it. He just wanted to jump to IVF. Now we've seen another doctor since moving and had a laparoscopy found I had stage 3 endometriosis. I HATE that we wasted so much time and money on Donesky and he barely would check for anything. No wonder the IUI didn't work when I had a bigger problem internally. I would never recommend him. Don't go here!!

I've been with Dr Donesky for almost two years. After a few IUIs and IVFs, I am now pregnant! Dr Donesky is a caring, patient, and knowledgeable doctor. He has tweaked my protocols and waited for the best timing to achieve a pregnancy. I am thankful for him and his staff for the caring support they have given. At my age I was against the odds of having a successful pregnancy with my own eggs but it did happen.

Endured invasive procedures and drugs with 8 IUI's in the span of about 2 yrs with no luck. Much time, money and hope wasted here. We have moved on without a child, but the psychological effects are lasting.Would not recommend this route. If it is God willing it will happen naturally.

Feel like I wasted my time and money

After spending over a year with me and my husband seeing Dr. Donesky I gave up and feel like my time and money was wasted there. Recently I saw another doctor who is not even and endocrinologist and was immediately diagnosed with PCOS and with treatment have lost weight and am experiencing normal cycles return. Although bloodwork was done multiple times and Dr. Donesky listened to my detailed history, he never once even mentioned PCOS and never treated me for anything really, even though we did a round of IUI. Turns out my progesterone was almost 0 so there was no way that had the IUI been successful I could have maintained a pregnancy. After seeing my current doctor and been given a full explanation of how PCOS works I feel truly disappointed in the care I received from Dr. Donesky. I hope that I am the only that fell through the cracks at his office.
