In my attemts to reconnect with Dr. Pak Chung I came a cross this review. I am compelled to share with you that we are filled with eternal gratitude for Dr. Chung and his staff. Back in 2001 we saw the top 8 fertility specialists in NYC. Dr. Chung & his staff were the most thorough, respectfull, and efficient. We have a beautiful 15 year old daughter named Hope to prove it. I am deeply saddened by all the medical insurance changes that have taken place, as all my visits and treatments were covered back in 2001. Also note that Dr. Chung did not recommend IVF for me, which was the most expensive, but a far less expensive but critical procedure that improved the quality of my life and helped bring us our Hope. Dr. Chung and his staff are held in my highest regard and I am certain he continues to help many. Please do not close doors for yourself because of the insurance issues that Dr. Chung and his staff are not responsible for. Please refrain from false accusations of him taking advantage of anyone in any way. This is not true and unfair. Sincerely, eternally grateful mom

Almost 10,000 dollars just for preliminary tests and doctor fees... Just for the consultation, doctor fees and tests. Yes, that was before any treatments. Go somewhere else less greedy.

Lack of info

I have done several IVF cycles from other facilities including Columbia University CWRC, New Hope and Neway. I am over 40 years old and because of my age conventional IVF is not recommended for me. So before I go for my consultation with Dr. Chung I inquire if he specializes in other types of IVF other than the conventional ones. But no one in his office including his secretaries Lilian who was very rude by the way, can't tell me what Dr. Chung specializes in. They keep telling me to go to my first consultation and have to pay $1200 ($450 doctor visit, $450 sonogram and $200 blood test) first. I have to pay out of pocket as my insurance doesn't have fertility coverage. Dr. Chung and his office are taking advantage of his patient by just asking our money and leaving us in the dark and giving no info until we give him all our money. I'm not asking for a diagnosis over the phone just asking his background/specialty before I WASTE my money with yet another unsuccessful IVF because I'm at the age where conventional IVF will not work. Because I've been doing this for the last 6 years I know a lot about my diagnosis and is looking for a certain doctor who specializes in the type of IVF that's been recommended for me. But Dr. Chung won't give me any info regarding his practice until I give all my money to him - which is criminal. Dr Chung and his staff should be put in jail by taking advantage of his patient. Clearly Dr. Chung and his staff is only interested in taking the money of his unsuspecting patients and not interested in helping them reach their goal. Shane on you and shame on Weill Cornell for having Dr. Chung practice in your facility!!! You all are criminal. Beware ifvthis doctor!
