Dr. Cohen is AMAZING

Dr. Cohen is an incredible person and doctor. I feel very fortunate to have found him, especially in dealing with infertility. Not only is he brilliant when it comes to infertility and excellent at his job, he is a genuine, down to earth, patient, honest, and kind man. He makes you feel very comfortable, while setting realistic expectations. Dr. Cohen will move at the pace you like, but I appreciate his willingness to move quickly. Whenever I needed a procedure, appointment, an IVF cycle, or transfer, there really was not a wait. You move forward as soon as your body is ready. Dr. Cohen is also open to suggestions and will answer any questions you have. He is not the type of Dr. who is offended if you question why thinks X is the best route. Honestly, I do not believe there is a better dr out there and I am eternally grateful to him for all of his guidance and patience throughout our journey.

I love Dr. Cohen

I was referred to Dr. Cohen's clinic by my regular physician and was fortunate to receive treatment from him. He is very knowledgeable and very good at explaining things to patients in laymen's terms. He is enthusiastic about addressing patients' problems and approaches the cases methodically. I really felt like he was taking every measure possible to increase my chances for success.

Dr. Cohen should be your first stop when considering IVF

I was recommended to Dr. Cohen from a close relative and was not disappointed. I had previously gone through IUI unsuccessfully about 7 years before I made it to Dr. Cohen. I was anticipating a long, drawn-out process and it was anything but. The facility is a well-oiled "machine" with regular calls and updates from nurses and the doctor. As much of a nervous nilly as I was, my fears were always calmed and I was always given the information and reassurance I needed. Dr. Cohen gave my husband and I very realistic expectations, so we went into our IVF treatment with our eyes fully opened. We were more than stunned to have been successful on our first try, especially after needing to have a polyp removed right before our first cycle. The pessimist I am was expecting two or three rounds at least. I haven't experienced pure joy in such a long time, and this was it. I cannot recommend Dr. Cohen more strongly. We are eagerly awaiting the birth of our first child.

Specialist of Choice for Univ. of Chicago Doctors' Wives

After relocating to Chicago, I began asking the wives of my husband's colleagues (physicians) for recommendations for an infertility specialist. Everyone enthusiastically reported that I should go see Dr. Cohen. Dr. Cohen is a patient, funny, caring man. On more than one occasion he spent extra time sitting in his office with me to answer my questions thoroughly. He is absolutely brilliant and continues to publish in the best medical journals (i.e. New England Journal) even as he continues his career from academia into private practice. My treatment plan with Dr. Cohen was cutting edge, aggressive (upon our request) and certainly set me and my husband up for success. We are now at 18 weeks and doing brilliantly. I adore this man and am trying to talk my husband into letting me name our child after him if we have a boy. A couple of notes about the IHR Chicago office. It is an attractive space in a discrete location. I have never had a problem getting a parking spot, and I have never had to wait long for my appointments. The office is set up to run like a well-oiled machine. Frequent visits were required for blood tests, ultrasounds, etc. I liked that they blocked off the first two hours of each morning for patients to just walk in and have these tests--you are in and out very quickly. A designated nurse coordinator was also made available to me to help coordinate my care. I could email or call my assigned nurse about any concerns or questions. Test results and clear, detailed, follow up care instructions were always left for me on a message service that I would call into by 4pm the same day of my blood/ultrasound tests. Dr. Cohen is the best in Chicago. I really felt that he looked after me like he would his own daughter. I cannot recommend him enough!
