I'm not sure I can say enough

I'm not sure I can say enough amazing things about Dr. Kligman and his staff at Cornell. I came to Dr. Kligman after 3 unsuccessful rounds of IVF with another physician closer to my home. He was very receptive to our concerns and explained everything that he was considering for us. He never gave up hope and was genuinely concerned when we were on the verge of giving up ourselves. He answered all of our questions and remembered everything about us from the moment we started with him. At the end of IVF round 5 we received the amazing news that we are expecting twins! I have since been discharged and cried when we were told that our work with him is done (until we're ready for the next set of twins lol). Not only is Dr. Kligman a miracle to us, but his staff (Julie, Kristen, and Dilcia) are beyond amazing as well. I don't know if they realize how much they all mean to my husband and I. Thank you for everything you have done for us!

A very caring, skilled and personable doctor

I was shocked to read some of the more negative reviews on here about Dr. Kligman that I absolutely had to weigh in! I went to him for an IVF cycle and found him incredibly personable and felt like he genuinely was rooting for me. I had done a few cycles previously and never responded well and on the cycle I went to him, I had 15 eggs retrieved but only one embryo. I was heartbroken. The nurse called me to tell me (as they do) but then 15 minutes later, Dr. Kligman called me personally as he knew this was not the news we were hoping for. He said they were still going to see what they could do with some of the other eggs (ICSI, etc.) and he would keep me posted. In all my years of fertility treatment, I literally never had a doctor call me themselves to talk to me about my fertility report. He was a great supporter, very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants an experienced and caring physician.

The doctor really does not

The doctor really does not care about his patients. You can't reach his staff and definitely not the doctor if you have my questions or problems. You are treated as a number by him and he doesn't spend more than a minute on your case, if even that. He doesn't have time for any questions and definitely doesn't have time for your concerns. A prison guard would show more concern.

Not very nice in the end

I couldn't believe the difference in treatment I received once my IVF cycle was cancelled. It was like they couldn't get me out of their office quickly enough because I would mess up their success rate numbers. I also was billed for things that didn't actually happen, so check your insurance claims after each visit or procedure. Try see any other doctor at this practice, because overall the practice is great but this doctor is not very interested in helping anyone who might have a tougher chance of success.

Extremely Arrogant

I now understand why Dr. Kligman is available when it is difficult to see other doctors at Cornell Weill Center in a timely fashion. He is extremely arrogant and doesn't listen to his patients. I went to see him and proceeded to have all my tests done. I wanted to understand all my options but he refused to show me the film of one test and didn't have my "other" report available. I only received my records after requesting numerous times. He is a typical arrogant physician who is only looking out for his best interest, not the patient. Please remember medicine is a business especially fertility clinics who prey on the emotions of women in a vulnerable state. If you want a holistic picture to understand all your options, my suggestion is to look for another doctor.

totally arrogant

I wanted to see a doctor at Cornell Weill because of it's reputation. I called all the doctors' offices and Dr. Kligman had the earliest opening. Now I know why he was so available. I brought in medical records pertaining to a benign paraovarian cyst I had monitored over 8 years ago. During the ultrasound Dr. Kligman performed he said the cyst was ovarian and when I pointed out that the radiologist had said it was paraovarian he barked "no, 100% certain it's ovarian". The cyst had been monitored over the course of 2 years by one of the best gynecological radiologists in NY but after a 30 second ultrasound he decided he knew better even though he is not a radiologist and had only looked at it once briefly. His staff is even more arrogant than he is. It took me a week to get lab test results of a pap smear and culture. His assistant Jenny said she had them just a few days after they were performed. I emailed the medical records request form and called numerous times over the course of a week. On the day I finally got them Jenny had hung up on me so I called the medical records department and bothered them all day long until I finally got them. I understand wanting to go to Cornell Weill but don't go to Dr, Kligman, even though he may be very available!

The best around

I went to Dr Kligman after hearing amazing things about him from a friend who had successfully gotten pregnant through an IVF procedure with him. I found Dr Kligman to be warm and approachable and his bedside manner to be stellar. He was always willing and able to answer any question I had about the procedure, my regiment or any anxiety I may have and gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions -- no matter how mundane they were. He went above and beyond to help me transport eggs that I had frozen at another facility so that they could be utilized in my cycle with him. Dr Kligman's staff (especially Julie and Hunter) are amazing! They were always there with a reassuring word, a smile and lots of encouragement. Trying to get pregnant via IUI/IVF is an extremely stressful process but Dr Kligman and his staff make it as painless as possible. They are approachable, communicative and warm. Dr Kligman is one of the best doctors I've had (in any specialty) in a very long time. I recently "graduated" out of the Center and I know that a big reason for my success was Dr Kligman's knowledge, patience and expertise as well as the support I received from his staff. If you're looking for an infertility specialist, Dr Isaac Kligman is the best there is.

The Best

We previously had a terrible experience at a very well known NY fertility clinic and were referred to Dr. Kligman. He was incredible. At his practice I was treated not only like his patient, but a member of his team's family. They were so incredibly personal, helpful and positive regardless of the situation. Dr. Kligman will be there to see you at every appointment, and he is part of your journey every step of the way. When we had a positive outcome, I was so touched by the genuine excitement expressed by him and his staff. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kligman. Even my husband, who was very suspect after our previous fertility experience, felt Dr. Kligman was "world class." We are so indebted to him, Jersey, Julie and the entire practice for helping us to overcome our struggles and experience such incredible joy. I am so appreciative.

Patient Review

I called and scheduled a appointment with the front desk and asked if they took aetna insurance. And the lady said yes. Then I came in and showed my insurance card the women checking me in didn't say anything. I saw Dr Klingman and I said I had gotten a ultrasound only a couple of days ago and didn't want to get another one and he said that it is covered in the visit and that I could either walk out the door right now because without it he wouldn't proceed. After seeing him I went to the billing women who was the only pleasant person I dealt with, but who also only charged me a copay for an insurance I found out weeks later when the bill came in the mail that the office does not take. I also have a separate 400 charge for the ultrasound I did not want and got bullied into getting. I am so appalled at the way I was treated and how unprofessional the staff and doctor was and how no one along the way told me about the insurance or charges even when I asked. Unprofessional and wrong on multiple levels. I would like the erroneous ultrasound charges removed since I said I did not want, need and was bullied into. I also want the main doctor visit to be reduced since I was mislead the entire way - walking home with a 1k bill when the whole way I was worried about the charges and voiced it even to the dr is something they should take responsibility for mistreating me.
