So grateful

We are so happy to have our beautiful baby girl born 4/6/17. As an OBGYN, I was devastated when I couldn't achieve pregnancy on my own. I decided on SMF, not only because of the affordability, but because of Dr Massey's esteemed reputation. Everyone was kind and patient through the entire process. I assure you, I had more questions than the average patient because of my knowledge base. They answered all questions and responded to every email in a timely fashion. Our experience was wonderful. We are so very thankful for Harper! Remember, in medicine things will not always go as expected. They didn't go exactly as planned with my cycle, but I trusted the doctors and followed their instructions. These doctors have your best interest in mind when making their medical decisions. God Bless all those couples on this emotional roller coaster ride. You are not alone!

Twins!

We have 3 year old twins because of Dr. Massey and his staff. I had a terrible experience at a clinic in Jacksonville after that I was really nervous. But they put me at ease. I have no tubes and chronic fibroids, so not the easiest case. We will be going back this year for FET.

Deal with the doctor, not with the nurse

After 3 failed IVF at a different clinic, we decided to try SMFI due to the low cost and the reputation as Pioneer in the area. They were nice but my first surprise was when I noticed that the nurse seemed to have a decision power in protocol and medication. I thought to myself they know what they are doing. When I pickup my prescription medication, I noticed a prescription that was not discussed with the nurse as part of the protocol. I called the nurse to double check my prescription. And she just replied, not to take that specific prescription. I found it really unprofessional. I followed the instructions as recommended, my stimulation was a total failure despite the 14 follicles originally saw on the ultrasound, I had two barely mature follicles retrieved. This was the worst stimulation result we ever had. We undergo IVF because of male factor, I had no issues, and had always 11 to 14 follicles retrieved at my previous IVFs. We were devastated by the outcome. We still had two embryos out of the two eggs. But when I saw the embryos on the transfer day, the quality was so poor. Needless to say we didn't get pregnant. When dr Massey called me about the outcome, I told him how disappointed I was and wanted to know what went wrong with my stimulation. He said he will look into it and call me back. I never received a follow up call from the clinic. Several months have passed by since. I have no doubt about Dr Massey competence, but if you ever decide to work with them, work with the doctor and not with the nurse. You may want to go to Augusta with Dr Servy instead, I had a better sense of professionalism when I went there for retrieval and ET.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE.

I was with ACRM, and decided to go to servy massey due to costs. IT was not a good experience. They are so disrespectful, inconsistent with the information they provide their patients, unreliable and probably incompetent too. The lab they use has been sued 3 times and SM, cant even advise patients on things to do. Multiple times they sent in the wrong medication to the pharmacy only for me to call and then they changed it. They have this girl Cecilia there that really should not be interacting with patients. PLEASE I WOULD NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH. THIS IS A VERY EMOTIONAL JOURNEY AND THEY ARE NOT THE PROVIDERS YOU WOULD WANT TO TAKE CARE OF YOU OR YOUR BABY. INVEST, SPEND THE MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT WILL GIVE YOU PIECE OF MIND. I AM A PHYSICIAN MYSELF AND I DONT REFER PATIENTS TO THIS FACILITY.

Excellent Clinic

We love Dr. Massey and the Servy Massey Fertility team. When my husband and I came to Dr. Massey- we had lost twins from IVF at week 10 of pregnancy. We took about a 4 month break and then I had found this institute. We had used the BIG name top 3 place in Atlanta before and was not right for us. Dr. Massey was able to look over all our paperwork and pinpoint what he thought was a cookie cutter approach that was used before was the culprit to our prior loss. That sometimes they use your age and just put you on same regimen as other women at your age point instead of looking at your individual results. Well he was right! We got quality eggs with the next round. We had to implant twice- but that is not up to anyone by God and the universe. :) We now have a healthy baby boy- Max that was born July 29, 2016. It was all bc we did not give up and found Dr. Massey and team!!!! Our gratitude is immeasurable. Thank you sooo much!

Worst ivf clinic ever. They

Worst ivf clinic ever. They dont respond to your phone calls and treat you very badly. No proper instructions and you are not supposed to ask any doubts later on. Dr.Massey never talks to you about anything. I underwent a fresh cycle, in which they told that I cannot undergo transfer because of my progestrone level. My FET was a failure. During the cycle I had severe itching in my feet and the doctor completely ignored it. I am 24 years old and I do not have any problems, it is male factor infertility because of which we had to undergo IVF. They did not give me proper stimulation drug also, I just produced 5 eggs. On the whole it has been a very tough time both emotionaly and physically at SMFI

Wonderful office

Upon coming to Dr. Massey's office I have been to one other local RE Office where I felt like just another patient or what my husband and I called "another number"…you know what I mean when you feel like you are just a file/folder/case and not a human. Dr. Massey's office is small and from day one they make you feel like you're at home. The staff is friendly and they all pay attention to you and remember you.. most of all treat you like a person. If you end up at the RE you have been on a long journey, a painful one that is hard to explain so any kindness at this point is so welcoming. I have PCOS and in addition we also have a male factor so getting pregnant on our own was virtually impossible so 6 years of trying on our own and 3 failed IUI's later we finally found Dr. Massey. Dr. Massey really took his time talking to my husband and I, he walked us thru the best plan of action and throughout the entire IVF we had all of our questions and concerns answered in a timely manner. We went thru with our first round of IVF (which by the way is considerably less in $ then other offices in the GA area not to mention they will help you find discounts on your IVF medication) and now are 16 weeks pregnant with a little boy that we can only thank this office for. If you are looking for a caring office with staff that will walk you thru and help you attain your end goal..I would suggest Dr. Massey.

Save your money, stay away

Stay away from this clinic if you don't want to be robbed of your money. This fertility clinic is the most unorganized and unprofessional group of people I have EVER dealt with. My husband and I are out $16k as a result of a failed Fresh Cycle and failed Frozen Cycle. Dr. Massey may have been a pioneer in IVF but he is no longer at the top of his game. He treated me like an experimental lab rat not an infertility patient. His nurse overrides has protocols without consulting with him, that's what happened to me during our FET. I was told by Dr. Massey I would be on PIO injections for one week followed by Endometrin suppositories but his nurse changed the protocol and told my husband and I to disregard Dr. Massey's protocol and had me doing PIO injections every day until further notice. After the 10th day of doing PIO injections I developed an allergic reaction and started developing itchy and painful welps near the injection sites. I felt so sick and so crampy so I emailed the nurse my side effects and she replied, "stop the injections, you have enough". She didn't ask me to come in so the Dr. could examine it, nothing. As soon as we stopped the PIO injections my menstrual cycle started and the FET was a failure. Another thing I'm disappointed at is the way I'm spoken to, they speak to me is as though I'm an idiot. Every concern I have or question I ask is answered so briefly and or is dismissed all together. These people may do this for a living but I am the one injecting hormones into myself and know the difference between normal and NOT normal. I know my body the best. I've met another IVF patient whom used SMFI before and she tried to convince to switch to her Dr. whom helped her get pregnant with twins. She also had a very bad experience with SMFI. She shared with my that Dr. Massey would do her monitoring vaginal ultrasounds without a nurse in the room and how he would never remember anything they would discuss. PLEASE PLEASE be careful don't make the same mistakes I did.
