I went with Dr. Bustillo in my first appointment and I think she was very nice but mostly very profecional. Even though it was just the really first time, I had a good vibe with her. I hope the next one I keep thinking the same.

Rude staff, missing doctor

I've been going to doctor bustillo for three months now and I have met her once. You are basically passed on from nurse to nurse every time you go. Also, several times there has been miscommunication where they have forgotten to tell you things - such as I need to bring in an injection because they don't have it here, or I need to make an appointment to drop off sperm. They have even forgotten to call in my medication! The girls in the front are also very rude and not helpful at all. I would find another doctor

Do not waste your time or money with this clinic, or with this doctor. I had terrible experience as some of the other commenters here. I saw her once for an initial appointment during which she seemed friendly enough, and ordered a host of tests for me. Without any discussion, she then proceeded to push me into IVF based on my age. She suggested to me Vitamins that I bought in her office and two of them were expired since 2006. I got 4 embrios everything was ggod and the day of the procedure they told me that two of them can not be freezed. I didn't feel anything the day of the transfer, but I have very tigh cervix and Dr. Bustillo didn't realized. she kwew because on the sonogram she had to dited the cervix, with the transfer I had pain, she try with one catheter, she could'nt and the nurse whent to get and small one ( Iread that if blood get into the endometrium your embryo can died) " DR. WAS NOT PREPARE FOR MY PROCEDURE SHE TREAT EVEONE AS SAME WITHOUT SPECIFICS NEEDS OR CONDITIONS. I also repeatedly asked her office to let me know in regards my thyroids because that was the onlu PROBLEM that she mentined to me when I started, terribles follow up. Mercedes is the financial person OMG this office does'nt care abot PT needs is all about money. They double charged the labs of my firts lab incluided in the money that i paid, they sent to my insurance too. They asked me that I have a pending lab to be paid, but my insurance cover all labs. the excuse was that they forgot to bill to the insurance.... This is not my problem!. Please be advised Go somewhere else..Don't waste time or money in this office.... THE MOST TERRIBLE SERVICES I NEVER RECEIVED.

DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN

Do not waste your time or money with this clinic, or with this doctor. I had the same experience as some of the other commenters here. I saw her once for an initial appointment during which she seemed friendly enough, and ordered a host of tests for me. Without any discussion, she then proceeded to push me into IUI and IVF. After frustration and frustration with failing to get one-on-one appointments with her, and dealing with unfriendly clinic staff, I finally changed doctors and went to clinic that has success rates so much higher than hers (btw, check the numbers, they are NOT good relative to national averages. In fact, you may need to leave FL to get decent medical care in this field - I did). When my medical records were sent to my new doctor, I learned that completely unbeknownst to me, the tests that she ordered came back positive for an uterine polyp. The uterine polyp was BLOCKING MY ABILITY TO CONCEIVE. DURING THE MONTHS THAT I WAS BEING TREATED BY HER OFFICE, SHE NEVER TOLD ME. I also repeatedly asked her office to perform a test on a fallopian tubes, which she laughed at me for requesting. After going to my new doctor, I discovered that my tubes were blocked entirely. She is not just an unavailable doctor, she is NOT attentive and NOT GOOD. I can't tell you how angry I am at the precious time I wasted at this woman's office. Go somewhere else.

Such an anxious and not pleasant experience

I read reviews on this doctor prior to making the appointment, I also have two friends who have been to the office and are now with a different doctor who recommended against Dr. Bustillo. It takes a while to get an appointment, that is fine since it's worth the wait to see a quality doctor, and the only reason I have given 2 stars is because the staff at that office really is nice and welcoming. Dr. Bustillo was amazing my first visit but after that .... FORGET IT!... I went in, she went over all our options, our healthy history, ordered some tests, etc. all great..when the results came in a month later we went back and she met with us for about 5 minutes, all good news, and set us up with a treatment plan.. I never saw her again. I went in 4 times for 4 different ultrasounds, by techs, and each time I went I got a new story/opinion/advice/etc. Month one did not work out for us...no biggy she said it may take a few months. So when I asked what we were doing this month I got a whole song and dance that the doctor didn't clearly write the notes in my chart and I would have to make another appointment to go in and see her to discuss a plan... HELLO 1 month didn't work and I need to go back in for a new plan and I have to wait another month to get an appointment.... Trying to conceive is stressful on it's own and if the doctor is unorganized, doesn't care, and delays you even longer than you want to be...what's the point? I cancelled her as my doctor and I am now seeing Dr. Eisenberg who has wonderful reviews and who two of my friends have gone to and successfully conceived with his help. I should have read the reviews on here regarding this doctor who doesn't give a DAMN!

I'd stay away from seeing this doctor

My experience with Maria Bustillo, MD, FACOG, was bad from beginning to end. I made an appointment a month and a half in advance and when I arrived at the scheduled appointment, they tell me that it has been moved to two hours earlier, which meant that I was late. No one called me to inform me of any change and I have a confirmation email with the time of the appointment which doesn’t reflect any change. So they tell me that I need to wait to “see if the doctor still wants to see me.” I already left work to get to this place, so I wait. They don’t tell me anything for another 30 minutes and only upon my insistence, they tell me that the doctor “has agreed” to see me one hour and 15 minutes later. I wait. When the doctor’s assistance calls me, she takes my pressure and other ministerial stuff in a room that they also use to store all the office’s cleaning supplies; everything is dirty, old or broken—definitely not what you expect to see in a doctor’s office. This is the best part: when I finally see the doctor, Maria Bustillo, I mention to her—in a very calm and polite way, because this was going to be my doctor after all—what had happened with my appointment and the fact that Kathy from her staff had been particularly rude, unapologetic and accusatorial towards me with respect to the confusion about the appointment time. What does Maria Bustillo say to me without taking time to even think for a second? “The door is right there and you are free to leave now.” Needless to say, I’d never go back to this doctor again and I’m surprised that she continues to operate with such bad staff, facilities and manners. There are many other doctors as experienced as her and with top of the line facilities and well trained staff. Don’t waste your time or money with her.
