This doctor is extremely cold

This doctor is extremely cold and haughty, and botched my IVF cycle, to boot. I do not recommend him.

My success story....

My IVF success is now 23 years old. I was one of Dr. Rob's first patients. I went through a fresh and frozen cycle...neither of which was successful. About 6 months later I tried another fresh cycle and was convinced I was not pregnant. Dr. Rob spent so much time with me on the phone consoling me since I was convinced I wasn't pregnant. It was Friday night and he was so patient. I had an appointment on the following Monday AM and I was pregnant! I was overjoyed and still am. Dr. Rob was just as excited. He and his staff were always available to talk with me. I remember many Saturday mornings sitting in the waiting room with women full of hormones and a limited amount of bagels. It seemed like an accident waiting to happen. His staff was positive and calming. Despite the roller coaster of emotions, Dr. Rob and his staff made the experience as pleasant as possible. I would recommend him wholeheartedly!

Excellent care, maximal outcomes

To start, we did not research fertility specialists as others may have. Dr. Anderson was simply the physician appointed to us through our insurance. I've always disliked how systematic health care has become. In the end, I have to say that we were incredibly lucky how we ended up under his care. Little did we know that fertility specialists can be very different. Protocols are different, procedures are different, the timing's different. & of course, personalities differ. Peers had shared their experience prior with me. How their medication adversely affected them, how their procedures didn't work right away: they mentally preparing me to be ready for multiple attempts. In contrast, I found Dr. Anderson's protocol to be otherwise. It covers all the bases, but at the same time, it's simplistic (i.e. he gives only what you need) to maximize fertility, minimizes/eliminates side effects, and give time for the body to recover at each step. As for bedside manner, he isn't one to coddle his patients. He's not cold either, I'd say he's even-tempered, professional & experienced. For myself, efficacy was most important, & as long as I was comfortable enough around my physician, I'd be fine. Dr. Anderson was that & much more. We felt like we were in good hands the ENTIRE time. For those who want the above, the NP Joan is just that. Warm, encouraging, supportive. We would see her from time to time when Dr. Anderson wasn't available. And just as experienced, she's been in the practice for a while (>20 years?) Just as praised is his personnel and nursing staff. Our experience included frequent, even daily visits to the office. They have an excellent billing department who was readily available and thoroughly explained our options. Scheduling appointments were easy, & no matter how heavy their workload, the girls are always friendly at the front desk. & they're very good @ what they do. You will likely run into all 6 or so nurses at one point. & they are all very good: kind, sympathetic, informative, & great educators. As mentioned in previous reviews, the office as whole runs like a well-oiled machine. And finally, if price is an issue, they seem very reasonable. After our multiple visits, ultrasounds, blood drawn, and quality time spent, the Dr.'s office fees just make sense. The medications selected & the pharmacy they prescribe to seem to be lower. Genetic testing for whatever reason was thousands cheaper than what my peers were quoted. After this very long review, in conclusion, we were very happy with our experience & would easily recommend this practice to anybody who needs intervention to conceive. I think of my peers who had unsuccessful attempts & firmly believe that they would've achieved pregnancy sooner if with Dr. Anderson. Even for those not in the area, their results have been shown to be very encouraging, they're worth the drive!
