Creating and Editing Content

To create new content find the "Create Content" link on you left navigation, just under where your login name is printed. Choose an appropriate type for your content. The descriptions printed below each choice should help you decide. (If you're not sure what to do here, you may create a support ticket asking your question.)

All content has a title and a body. These are required fields. Other types of content may offer additional fields for inputing information that is to be displayed a certain way. Once you have completed entering your new content, select "Save" at the bottom of the form. Optionally, you may preview your content before saving it.

Editing Content

Method 1: The Edit Tab

The easiest way to edit content is to navigate to the content you want to edit, and click the "edit" tab at the top of the page. However, there is a caveat here: some times you do not have this tab, and some times this tab does not edit the content but something else that is responsible for displaying the content ("views" and "panels" are likely candidates here). If you click an edit tab and what you see does not make sense, then get out of there and run for the next access option.

Method 2: The Content Page

Look for a menu item in your left hand navigation. Depending on what type of access you have on the system, this may be listed in your menu as "Content" or it may be Under the "Administer" menu item. Once you've found the item, click it to navigate to a page that lists all the content on the system. At the top of this page are options to sort and filter the content so that you can more esasily find what you seek.

Method 3: The Content Management Filter

Some users may see a menu option called "Content Management Filter" This provides you with some advanced options for sorting and filtering content, for example, by the user that authored it.

Method 4: User's Traker

Every user account has a tab for accessing the content that user has created. This is called a "Tracker," and it allows users to view their own content. If you have sufficient rights to administer users, you can access the content under this tab.
